Beyond it's Wharol connections, nobody really bothered to notice this when it was released in 1966. The band's black look was out of kilter with the colour of hippie culture; they thought they didn't do interviews  interviews and their record company Verve we're putting effort into promoting  'Freak Out' by Zappa as there main alternative title. Despite this, and through the championing of people such as David Bowie, the album has went on to become one of the most influential in history. It really is a masterpiece of writing and innovation, from 'Sunday Morning, to 'Waiting For My Man to 'Venus in Furs.' This beautiful limited edition 45th anniverisry issue comes complete with originaL artwork, including peelable banana, and is mastered from original mastertapes.
